The University of Belgrade's Department of Mining and Geology selected BREEZE® Software as the preferred air dispersion modeling software for use in its Air Pollution undergraduate course.  The course addresses the basic concepts of air pollution in general and focuses on specific air quality issues as it relates to the mining industry.  The software is used to predict concentrations of air pollutants in areas surrounding the industrial site.  It accounts for the relationship between source characteristics, terrain, nearby buildings, and meteorological conditions.

As a member of the BREEZE University Partner Program, the Department of Mining and Geology receives complimentary BREEZE software and data services to give students the opportunity to apply modeling theories to real-world situations.  Interactive case studies teach students the necessary skills to work in the air pollution control technology field and demonstrate how pollution affects the environment.  The use of BREEZE software also enables students to develop air dispersion modeling skills before entering the workforce, which is advantageous to students seeking careers and postgraduate degrees in mine safety and environmental engineering.

BREEZE products are developed and distributed by Trinity Consultants, an environmental consulting firm with extensive expertise in dispersion modeling.  BREEZE air dispersion, fire, and explosion modeling software are used by more than 4,000 professionals in 70 countries worldwide.  For more information on BREEZE products or the BREEZE University Partner Program, visit breeze-software.com/education or call +1 (972) 661-8881.
