BREEZE Risk Analyst has a robust toolbox of results analysis and mapping features. They include:
- Fully Transparent Results – the user has full access to equations, input parameters, and intermediate calculations. This powerful feature ensures model accuracy, establishes standardization, and provides the information required to support numeric validation. This feature is also extremely useful for identifying risk drivers and key input parameters influencing results.
- Advanced cartographic tools including fully customizable mapping symbology, legends, scale bars, labeling, orientation arrows, and geographic coordinates.
- ArcViewTM data analysis capabilities allow advanced users to perform additional results post processing. Examples include the addition of background concentrations, monitoring data, and demographic analysis using ethnicity and socio-economic attributes.
- Simultaneously calculate risk estimates for multiple sources, multiple chemicals, multiple exposure scenario and multiple locations.
- Quick access to underlying attribute information such as detailed emission source or facility descriptions.
- Advanced, yet easy to use geospatial data analytics and analysis capabilities
- Powerful map export options including standard graphics formats, pdf maps, and Google Earth files.
- Export results and maps to Google Earth and other internet mapping formats.
- Advanced statistical data analysis and reporting tools.
- Sort, filter, query, threshold, and exceedance options.
- Customize result summaries by location-, source-, chemical-, chemical-group, exposure-scenario, exposure-pathway or any combination of the above. Results can be viewed using a data grid format (spreadsheet) or within the map view by simply selecting a location of interest using the “Details” tool.
- Results can be exported as MS Excel, MS Access, ESRI Shapefile, XML, Txt, or HTML format for use in other applications or further analysis and reporting using advanced ArcViewTM features.
- Generate Population-level Risk Estimates using either cancer burden or user defined cancer risk and non-cancer hazard levels.
The BREEZE Risk Analyst Chemical Database initially includes the 204 HHRAP Companion Database chemicals and the necessary fate and transport and toxicity parameters for evaluating acute exposure, cancer risks, and noncancer hazards. New chemicals can be easily added or imported into the database or existing chemicals can be modified by the user. Chemical types include volatiles, semi-volatiles, and metals including:
- Polychlorinated dibenzo(p)dioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs)
- Polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
- Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs)
- Nitroaromatics
- Phthalates
- Other organics (e.g., Benzene, Cumene, 1,3-Butadiene)
- Metals (e.g., Mercury, Lead, Arsenic, Chromium)
