AERMOD and AERMAP Parallel are cost effective alternative to the knee-jerk
reaction of purchasing new computers to combat the increased runtimes observed
with AERMOD. The costly initial outlay of money and the ongoing upkeep
required to maintain and support multiple computers that process multiple runs
simultaneously is eliminated to a large extent when AERMOD and AERMAP Parallel
are used. When the costs associated with staff required to configure and
maintain the computers, depreciation, and the additional hardware and software
replacement costs over the lifetime of the computer are considered, the use of
AERMOD and AERMAP Parallel makes sense.

For large model scenarios, BREEZE AERMOD and AERMAP Parallel offers you these
important benefits:
- No changes in the science behind the U.S. EPA models.
- You receive both AERMAP and AERMOD.
- You receive both the EPA non-enhanced and the enhanced BREEZE Fortran
executables.
- No changes to the original EPA code, only additions to implement the
parallel features.
- Results are IDENTICAL to the EPA precompiled binary.
- Performance that scales to the number of CPU's utilized. Performance is
typically limited only by the number of processors/cores in a single machine, although this can be dependent upon the number of
sources within a model run.
- Available in both Windows and Linux versions.
- Works with all AERMOD input files weather they are created by BREEZE
AERMOD GIS Pro Version 6 or not.
- Reduces system costs.
- enables exploitation of distributed multi-processor and multi-core
economics
- optimizes response time on available hardware configurations
- quick installation avoiding costly hardware / software expenses
BREEZE AERMOD Parallel is available to BREEZE AERMOD GIS Pro Version 6 users
at a substantial discount from the list price. Unlike BREEZE AERMOD GIS Pro,
BREEZE AERMOD Parallel requires the use of a "hardware key" or "dongle" to
function properly.
Licensing Options
BREEZE AERMOD Parallel can be used in both local and network (cluster)
configurations. Multiple hardware keys are required for network configurations.
Local configuration: In a local configuration, a single hardware
key is required and installed on a single computer and is used only on that
computer.
Example 1: If you wish to run BREEZE AERMOD Parallel on a
single dual core computer, you would need to purchase one hardware key
configured for a dual core processor.
Example 2: If you wish to run BREEZE AERMOD Parallel on a
single quad core computer, you would need to purchase one hardware key
configured for a quad core processor.
