Defining the Projection

Defining a Projection

BREEZE is unique in that it has a true GIS integrated into it.  A primary benefit of setting a projection in BREEZE is that you are assured that model object placement, automated base map importation, exporting to ESRI or Google file formats, and terrain alignment are going to be correct.  Defining a projection helps avoid costly mistakes and increases user productivity.

Projection Aids

BREEZE gives you the opportunity to define your projection, datum, and UTM zone (if necessary).  A map of the world divided into UTM zones helps to identify your primary zone.

Benefits

  • Save time by avoiding costly mistakes.
  • Simplifies the importation of base maps and terrain files.
  • Simplifies the importation of terrain files when crossing UTM zones.
  • Assures proper placement of model objects in large domains.
  • Enables the ability to create shaded relief height maps from the BREEZE terrain server.
