This 3-day workshop provides both theoretical and hands on computer application of BREEZE AERMOD. Course participants will gain a conceptual understanding of the modeling interface and leave with a solid foundation for conducting modeling studies.
This workshop is intended for individuals with little or no prior knowledge of air dispersion modeling techniques for continuous releases.
New regulations require dispersion models to be used to estimate the magnitude of pollutants from industrial sources on populations both near and far from the point of release. The course will focus on the fundamentals of air dispersion modeling with hands on application of the BREEZE AERMOD modeling system. AERMOD is the most widely applied modeling application to simulate ambient concentrations from emissions under normal operations. Participants will gain an understanding of how to apply AERMOD to compute pollutant concentrations, estimate plume rise, building downwash, terrain effects, and review model results.
Course registration includes a free license to BREEZE AERMOD Standard.
